Course Description

When "cost, schedule, and performance" aren't enough to ensure project success, project leadership needs to apply Emotional Intelligence (EI).  When project challenges go beyond the basics into politics, misunderstandings, miscommunication Emotional Intelligence is the key to progress.  Participants will not only learn about EI but also how to grow their own, improve it on their teams and apply it to projects to improve momentum, conflict resolution, obstacle-clearing, team-building, and navigating difficult circumstances.

Participants receive two booklets (one for each day) containing course materials:

  • The slides, pre-populated with notes and info (still plenty of room to add your own)

  • Eight case studies, all about the same project examining different uses of EI

  • Tools and techniques to use on-the-job next day

  • A comprehensive bibliography/resource list

Participants receive Working With Emotional Intelligence by Daniel Goleman prior to the course date.  Register early to allow time to read the recommended chapters before the workshop.
