Course Goal

 

Build on fundamental negotiation skills to increase your odds of doing well in any type of negotiation.

 

Participants need to ensure that they will be available and committed to the full duration of the workshop, including lunch hours.  A laptop is useful, but not necessary.  Each participant will be assigned to a small team to negotiate a challenging business problem with another team through a series of negotiation sessions.  The problem is designed to introduce the participants to typical business and other risks associated with longer-term contracts, some ideas on how to manage these risks, and the use of a simple spreadsheet model to evaluate alternatives as the negotiations proceed.
