Karen Schneider is a recognized expert in the field of federal government contracting, from the initial identification of a business opportunity through the capture and administration of the resulting contract. Karen's experience includes work in defense, aerospace, federal healthcare (Medicare) and high technology. She has served as a professor in the undergraduate and graduate school of business at Portland State University, Marylhurst University and the University of New Mexico, and has conducted workshops and training sessions for thousands of professionals and managers on subjects related to new product development.

She has current and strong relationships with leaders and decision makers across the branches of the government and commercial/government contractors with extensive knowledge of regulatory matters, proposal development and pricing methodologies and strategies.  Karen's experience working with the Defense Contact Audit Agency (DCAA) and the Defense Contract Management Area Office (DCMAO) is especially valuable to government contractor clients.

 

Karen has expertise in establishing solid channel partners and teammates for competitive procurements, including creation and negotiation of underlying agreements (NDA, teaming, alliance). She brings over 26 years of experience successfully identifying and capturing business across all branches of the U.S. Government in an often highly competitive environment and has successfully unseated many large, entrenched incumbents through employment of unique strategies.
 

Previously, Karen served as Vice President of Business Development for Cigna Healthcare in Nashville, TN; Vice President of Business Development for Eid Passport; and Vice President of Administration for SAIC. She served as senior contracts manager at Rockwell Collins, General Dynamics, and Honeywell. She also has experience as a founder of a material sciences company and a biomedical company in New Mexico. She has supported a wide variety of technologies and services, domestically and internationally.

Companies Ms. Schneider has assisted include: nLight Photonics (DARPA, Army, MDA, Navy, AFRL), QSent (DHS/TSA business development), Galois (NSA contract support), iMove (Lockheed, Northrop Grumman contract support), Advanced Navigation & Positioning Corp (FAA and NAVAIR contract support), LifeSpan Biosciences (large pharmaceutical companies), Hemcon (Ft. Detrick), and DayStar Technologies (AFRL, ARL, DOE, Lockheed).

Ms. Schneider holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Wisconsin.
