38 Critical Elements for Product Development Success

This one-day seminar gives your team the big-picture view necessary for exceptional results.

Product development is highly complex for many reasons beyond the technical challenges that might be involved.  In the planning and execution of concurrent projects from concept through commercialization, there are 38 factors that are important enough to be deemed critical by our consulting team.  The weak areas in an organization limit customer satisfaction, employee gratification, and profits. With awareness comes opportunity, and this seminar will enable those opportunities.

This fast-paced one-day session led by principal consultant Gary Hinkle will give your team the big-picture overview necessary to execute all aspects of product development superbly. After the seminar, your team members will understand the shortcomings that need to be addressed and they will have tips, tools and guidance for making the most beneficial improvements.

Participants will learn what’s needed to consistently achieve:

  • Customer and stakeholder satisfaction

  • Faster time-to-market

  • Lower development costs

  • Realistic expectations

  • Adequate resources

  • Commitment and accountability

  • Prioritization of projects for maximum ROI and reduced chaos

  • High morale and great teamwork

  • Accurate schedule and cost estimates

  • …and more

Each of the 38 critical elements is presented in a straightforward, consistent format:

  • Definition

  • Why it’s critical

  • Rating scale for self-assessment

  • Tips, tools and guidance for success

The seminar materials serve as a valuable reference for continuous improvement and further learning. At the end of the seminar each participant will create a chart that illustrates their perspective about your organization’s strength in each success element, which can be used for level-setting among team members and for prioritizing your improvement efforts.

Every key team member and stakeholder should attend, including:

  • Project and Program Managers

  • Functional Leads

  • Functional Managers/Directors

  • Senior Engineers/Developers

  • Executive Sponsors
