Executives, customers, managers, colleagues, suppliers and other stakeholders have different business expectations and communication needs/preferences that must be well-understood by engineers. This workshop helps engineers and managers to quickly develop essential business and communication skills that are necessary for job success and advancement.
During the workshop participants learn to balance engineering competencies across these five areas: technical, communication, leadership, project management, and business fundamentals, with emphasis in the areas of business acumen and communication skills. Participants learn techniques for communicating clearly and concisely, engaging their audience, promoting progress, and understanding their audience through active listening.
Business fundamentals emphasized include stakeholder satisfaction, financial concerns, task/priority management, business process, and developing/presenting a business case for new ideas.

Cancellations and substitutions
Payment is required in advance but is refundable, less a $50 processing fee, if your cancellation is received 5 full business days before the course. If you fail to attend and do not notify us in advance, the fee is not refunded. Substitutes are welcome. Simply send the substitute on the day of the course and notify the instructor of the change on arrival.

We begin at 9:00 a.m. sharp and wrap up at about 5:15 p.m.
Check-in begins at 8:30 AM. Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Lunch is from approximately 12:30 to 1:30 PM. Dress is casual.
